Jon has been educating and training people throughout his careers. He has worked for the Library of Congress Publications and Media section of the Division for the Blind and Physically Handicapped; served on the American University faculty and as a senior IT executive; was appointed to the Information Technology Advisory Committee of the Arlington County, Virginia, Public Schools, directed Broadcast Investment Analysts publishing division and served as their first Vice President for Corporate Information, managed The Deerpath Theater, and has provided training and educational services directly or through designing, delivering, and managing training programs for thousands of individuals, including university faculty, staff, and students of all ages. Jon was an early leader in online education and has worked with many course management systems for more than twenty years.
Jon turned to test prep tutoring in 2006, and has worked with hundreds of students in both individual and small-group settings. In addition to his own professional practice he has affiliated with Varsity Tutors, Educational Connections, Study Sparkz, and founded Nottingham Educational Resources Institute; he has coached students of all ages, in test prep on the ACT, SAT, PSAT, HSPT, ISEE, and GRE exams, and also coaches students and authors on their writing in dissertations, theses, and published works.
