COVID-19 Update

As I’m sure you’re aware, our country is in the midst of dealing with and preparing for the spread of the COVID-19 virus.  To the best of my knowledge, none of the students or staff at TP4S has tested positive for the coronavirus.  Still, I want to assure you that keeping our students, staff, and community safe is our highest priority.  Test Prep for Success will remain open, and both tutoring and classes will continue as scheduled.  However, in the abundance of caution, we will make the following changes:

  • Online Tutoring: We have the capability to offer all of our one-on-one tutoring sessions online and encourage students to request this format if they are not feeling well themselves, are concerned that they may have been exposed to the virus, or prefer to avoid public locations at this time. It has always been the case that students could request to meet with their tutor online for reasons of convenience or travel.  The technology we use for the sessions allows us to maintain the high quality, personalized experience you are used to from TP4S.
  • SAT/ACT Combo Classes: We will continue to offer our test prep classes on Wednesdays at 6:00 and Sundays at 1:30. The classroom seats 24 students, but we usually have 5-6 students in these classes. So students will be able to, and we will encourage them to, sit about six feet away from each other.  Students who are feeling ill or who have been exposed to the virus should not come to class.  We will waive the 24-hour requirement for cancellations during this critical time, but please have the courtesy to let us know if you won’t be coming to class.
  • Practice Tests: The Free Practice Test Event that was scheduled for this Saturday will be postponed. Our regular practice tests will still be held, and we will ensure that students have the ability to sit six feet away from other test takers.  As always, we can guide you through the process of taking a practice test at home should you prefer.
  • We will disinfect our desks, chairs, doorknobs, and light switches every day before we open. We will also keep the disinfectant and paper towels available should students want to use it.  Tissues and hand sanitizer will be available, as always.

As you know, this is a continuously changing situation, so we stand ready to take further measures as needed and as recommended by the CDC and our local authorities.  In the meantime, be safe, wash your hands, and keep studying.

Sincerely,

Heather Krey
