Due to public outcry, the College Board has decided not to provide a single adversity score when they send scores to colleges. However, the dashboard with the underlying data will still be made available to admissions departments.

A New “adversity score” is being added to the SAT to take into account such things as educational or socioeconomic disadvantage that may lower students’ scores. It has been a concern that the SAT can be unfavorable to certain groups, and colleges have noticed this for years.
This new adversity score is currently being pilot tested at 50 different colleges, and the professionals at TP4S are paying close attention to the results of the study. We’re committed to being a reliable resource for all your SAT related questions.
